Although angels are a different species from humans,it is said that they do occassionally incarnate in order to experience what it is like to be in the physical. This helps them to understand humanity. They are from a high spiritual plane and do not usually need to come back more than once or twice.

The name angel means messenger. These beings help to relay information to and from us. Some of them stand guard over us.

Chief amongst the guardians is Archangel Michael. He will often be seen in his armour, carrying a sword. His strong presence is protective, and reminds us to be strong and valiant.

Gabriel is well known in the Judaeo-Christian-Islam religions as a messenger from God. He came to Mary to announce the coming of Jesus.

Jophiel, as his name suggests, is jovial. He rarely comes to me without making me laugh. He is said to impart wisdom.

Other well known archangels are Uriel and Raphael. Raphael is particularly known for his healing energy.

Although most archangels are referred to as masculine, in fact many angels feel feminine, androgynous or asexual.

Occassionally seraphim will make their presence felt during a session. These are of a higher order than archangels.
